Harps for Rent
The harp is a very personal instrument so I encourage students to take their time in purchasing a harp.
Renting a harp is a good idea when you begin your harping journey.
You will find that there are many harp manufacturers, and many harp sizes and styles, as well as a wide variety of prices. I recommend that new students try out several harps before taking the step of purchasing.
I have harps for rent to beginning students.
Two are 30 string Lorien harps with levers on F's, C's and B's, each with a case and tuning key. I also have several 35 string Merlin harps, with levers on F's, C's and B's. The Merlins each come with a case and tuning key. Rental harps are available for a six month time period, which can be extended if necessary. A $100 deposit is required which is refunded at the end of the rental period if the harp is returned in good condition. The monthly rental fee is $50 for the 30 string harps, and $60 for the 35 string harps.
If you are taking lessons from another teacher, you
may still rent a harp from my studio if one is available.
If you rent a Merlin harp and later decide to purchase one, you will be able to buy a fully levered, new, Merlin for $2900 and will receive the case at no cost (the case sells for $200.00).
